Fighting for Logan

Kaitlyn, Ryan, Landon, and Logan need our help. 

On June 15,2021 our sweet Logan came into this world to complete our little family. We were loving every second of watching Landon taking on his new role as big brother and enjoying our time we all had together with our new baby. When Logan was 6 days old we received a phone call that would change everything for us. Logan’s Newborn screen came back abnormal for a Disease known as Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disorder also known as SCID. We had no idea what this was and Logan did not look or act anything like a “sick” baby and nothing like this has ran in either side of the family. Logan appeared to be absolutely perfect. After some further testing we did discover that Logan did not have any T-cells, which are the white blood cells needed to fight infections. To put it as simply as possible, he basically was born without an immune system. As if that news wasn’t difficult enough, we learned that the only cure for this disease is a Bone Marrow Transplant. After transplant, and a few long months of close monitoring, Logan will eventually be able to live a normal, healthy and happy life. This is going to be a journey of a lifetime for our family but we have peace knowing it is in God’s hands. Our prayer from you all right now is that God continues to give strength and comfort to our family and that Big Brother Landon is going to be the perfect Match for his little brother
