Hi. My name is Emily, and I’m doing this for mum. Mum is not the type of person to ask for help, so I’m doing it for her.

My mum, Tara, is one of the most kind and caring people you’ll ever meet. She’s usually the one helping others, not the one being helped. However, she’s found herself in a position where she needs just that! She needs help!

Mum has recently found out that the breast cancer she has already battled and defeated, has come back, it is now in her brain and bones and lymph nodes. She has already undergone 2 brain surgeries, with radiation and chemotherapy to come. Sadly, this cancer is not curable. There is no killing it this time. We just have to fight it for as long as we can. She may have 2 years to live, she may have 6 years to live, there’s just no knowing. We do know she is ready to fight!

Mum is unable to drive, and unable to work. So our family is living off one income, which isn’t enough to cover rent, bills, food and everything else. Any help that anyone can offer would really go a long way in getting our family through this. I’d really like to ease the financial burden on our family, I think mum has enough to worry about.
