FGCU Best Buddies Club

Last semester a few friends and I decided to bring the Best Buddies club onto Florida Gulf Coast University's campus. Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to create opportunities for people with an intellectual or developmental disability. Through your financial support and with volunteers, these individuals will be paired with a Buddy and will be provided with a friend, mentor and life enriching experience. Best Buddies provides life changing opportunities to people who are disabled and raises awareness to those who have never experienced this. In high school the three of us were extremely commited to Best Buddies and now that we have started our own club we are very determined to make this a hit on FGCU's campus. Our lives has greatly benefited from this organization and I know yours will as well. I encourage you to give or volunteer at a local chapter.
