Hi Everyone,
I’m Katherine, a fourth-year Professional Legal Practice LLM student at the University of York. On Sunday 12th April 2026, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of Norwood.
I have chosen this charity because it supports a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. Norwood operates in London and the South East, and supports and empowers neurodiverse children, their families and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. Norwood is ambitious for the people who use their services and they strive to ensure that everyone can live the life they choose, irrespective of their ability.
As some of you know, my cousin Charlotte was diagnosed with Isodicentric 15 disorder at birth, an extremely rare chromosomal abnormality. This has made me even more determined to raise money for Norwood, a charity that works closely with local authorities to provide a wide range of services, including residential and supported living accommodation, short-break facilities and support groups for entire families, not just individuals. Charlotte has benefited greatly from Norwood’s support in the past, and I am committed to helping ensure they can continue delivering their outstanding services to thousands of people.
I’m running for Charlotte, and for the thousands of people who face daily challenges, deserving the same opportunities, care and support to live life to the fullest. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
