Feed homeless animals in Cairo, Egypt
Dear Animal Lovers, I am raising funds for Chance Animal Rescue in Cairo, Egypt.
Overview
Since 2016, Rofia Touhami , with the help of only two other volunteers, run an animal shelter in Cairo, Egypt caring for 350 dogs and cats. They work tirelessly day and night to feed, bathe, and meet the medical needs of these homeless strays.
A brutal life for homeless strays in Egypt
Many of these animals would be killed by poisoning at the hands of the local Egyptian government. Poison is used by the local government to reduce the population of homeless animals. It's a brutal, painful death that often results in hours of horrific agony.
Chance Animal Rescue treats victims of poisoning
This beautiful dog was found poisoned on the street. It was rushed to Chance Animal Rescue for medical treatment.
The loving volunteers and vets provided care to allow this dog to start healing from the poison.
In Egypt, homeless animals are lowly regarded. They are often abused, tortured and killed. There is little interest in the Egyptian culture and society to help these animals.
Bindo was left for dead with two broken legs
This beautiful baby named Bindo was found unable to walk on the side of a busy road after being hit by a vehicle. Vulnerable, hopeless, waiting for a hero to rescue him.
X-rays revealed two broken hind legs. Chance Animal Rescue vets provided much needed medical care to set the broken bones and help Bindo heal. After plenty of hugs, belly rubs and medical care, Bindo has made a full recovery.
Dogs like Bindo would otherwise left be to die without Chance Animal Rescue.
Chance Animal Rescue provides medicine and medicated baths to treat mange which is very common in Egypt.
This dog was found close to death. Chance Animal Rescue was able to provide nutrition and medicine to bring the dog back to health.
Another awful case of mange and neglect.
These dogs can recover. They can be happy and healthy. Chance Animal Rescue is the helping hands that does this work in Egypt.
Helping the most vulnerable and innocent in Egypt
Please consider donation to help fund the operation of this rescue.
Food for the 350 animals costs about $50 US dollars per a day. The average food costs for a month are about $1500 US dollars.
Raising this money will give the shelter a bit of cushion for the food bill and also allow me to incorporate a 503c Non-Profit entity to properly raise tax deductible donations to support Chance Animal Rescue.
Every single dollar raised will benefit the rescue either by buying food or paying for the cost of incorporating the 503c Non-Profit entity.
Please give what you can. Chance Animal Rescue is doing great work for the most vulnerable in Egypt.
