Family Waiting On United For Ukraine

Hi, my name is Vladyslav La Rosa Santana. I need help supporting my sister, Yana, and two nephews, Davyd and Yanislav, while they make their way over to US. My family is from Ukraine, Vasylkiv where the war has been extremely brutal. My family spent over a month living in fear while in a shelter. Due to a lot of civilian building being hit, they chose to flee and seek shelter in Poland.

 

Due to Ukraine not allowing men to leave the country, my sister had to leave her husband and father of their kids behind as they were going to seek shelter. My family and I decided we had to pull her and the children out of Ukraine to take shelter in Poland. In Poland they have taken shelter in a cold facility averaging 33F degrees during the days and even colder during nights. My father flew to Poland to try to get them and make sure they are safe in their attempt to seek asylum in the United States, having to take work leave from his job as a maintenance technician to do so. A week later he managed to bring them over to Mexico where we heard news that Ukrainian refugees can take shelter and make it to the United States. I am currently taking care of my mom as she cannot drive herself to work and helping with their bills in his absense.

 

Cost alone of travel, shelter and care have gone over $10k. Unfortunately, on the day that they landed the new United for Ukraine bill was passed that closed all boarders that were accepting Ukrainians coming into the US without visa. The form itself is taking a while to process even though we sent everything right away.

 

Their living expense has been progressively getting higher and higher putting us into a bit of financial struggle. The government is taking far too long to authorize the next steps and the USCIS website is not functioning properly. The youngest one, Yanislav, has an eye condition that he was going to get a surgery for prior to having their hospital bombed and being forced to leave.

 

They will have shelter with us and all the supplies once they get here, but I beg of you to help us cover their traveling costs and living expenses while they are waiting on the program to authorize them.
