I am setting this campaign on behalf of my son, James and daughter in-law, Rebecca. My family has never taken pride in having to ask for help, so the fact that my son asked me to create this shocked me. I never could have guessed that things were much more serious than what he had just gone through. The fact that he is now the primary financial supporter, caretaker and a new father is more than any one person could bare in their 20's.
James and Rebecca are a fairly new married couple and were so excited to find out that they were going to be having a baby girl and she was due August 28, 2020. The pregnancy was going well. Right before her 34 week point her water broke. She was taken to the hospital and admitted. She turned 34 for weeks 2 days later and the process to help the labor start was activated. Everything was slow but looking good. Than.... The next day all hell broke lose. Rebecca couldn't breath and babies heart beat had dropped. Rebecca was rushed in for an emergency C Section. James was right there the whole time. They got the baby out and straight to NICU. Rebecca was bleeding. They worked for 5+ hours trying to get it to stop. While James sat there with her suctioning her airway so she didn't choke on her vomit. They wanted to put her under general anesthesia but she knew if they did James and baby wouldn't have her on earth with them. She stayed awake and fought. After five plus hours they couldn't do anything else. They decided to close her up and take her to ICU. Rebecca had an amniotic fluid embolism which contributed to the inability to clot.
Mom and daughter are doing better. But recovery is a long road with many hurdles and and obstacles However she can not work and not sure if she will ever be able too. James has not been able to work because he is constantly going from NICU with his Daughter to ICU with his Wife. James has 3 jobs but he can not handle everything financially on his own. He is trying to keep a roof over their heads so when mom and baby can finally come home they have a place to go. COVID-19 has not helped their situation any either.
They need help with their bills paid during this time.
Baby Anastasia made her debut to the world on July 18, 2020.
Anything would help. Anything is appreciated. Not only do they need help keeping their house they need diapers and baby supplies. Prayers, good thoughts, positive energy.....everything welcomed.
