About FURI - The Family Unification and Resettlement Initiative (FURI) is a registered nonprofit organization based in Jamaica and the United States (501(c)(3)). FURI is dedicated to supporting vulnerable families, involuntarily and voluntarily returned migrants, and reintegration efforts through humanitarian aid, training, and advocacy. Our mission is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and unity—helping communities rebuild and thrive in times of need.
Hurricane Melissa has brought unimaginable devastation to Jamaica — homes have been destroyed, roads and schools damaged, and countless families are now struggling to find food, clean water, and shelter.
- As the Family Unification and Resettlement Initiative (FURI), we are mobilizing to bring hope and help to those in need. We are calling on our family, friends, and supporters around the world to stand with Jamaica during this time of crisis.
- 100% of all donations will go directly toward purchasing and delivering emergency relief supplies, including:
- Non-perishable food and clean drinking water.
- Hygiene kits and medical supplies.
- Baby essentials (diapers, formula, wipes).
- Building materials, tarpaulins, and blankets for temporary shelter.
- School and hospital support materials to help communities recover.
