Hit-and-Run Victim Chungthuy Le's Family
Donation protected
My mother, Chungthuy Le, was killed after being the victim of a hit-and-run incident in Walnut Creek, CA, on Saturday, October 1, 2022. My mother, the owner of Lavender Dreams Nail Spa (many knew her as Tammy), was trying to cross the street after leaving work, when a car ran a red light, hitting her and leaving her fatally injured. Once she was transported to the hospital, she had already passed. Me and my dad were on our way to Walnut Creek after hearing from a coworker that the phone call between them and my mom suddenly disconnected after they heard my mom scream. We were notified of my mom’s passing when we reached the hospital. Even now, it’s still difficult to process that she is gone. My father, in his sixties, worries most about me and my two siblings (me, 17, my sister, 15, and my brother, 12). The perpetrator has yet to be caught or identified. What they did was unforgivable; they took away a strong, loving, and kindhearted wife, mother, and friend. She was an irreplaceable person to all of us.
