Hello. I am Thomas Bayani. I have been an employee/manager here at Fire & Oak for over 10 years now and in that time, my coworkers turned into friends...and then family. I along with a select few have put this fundraising campaign together to help our staff through these difficult and uncertain times. We have devised a point system to allocate these funds to where needed most. I personally will withdraw into a personal bank account and distribute via Venmo.

Many people depend on Fire and Oak for great food, great drinks and a great experience. But let's not forget the people who depend on Fire and Oak for a living...to provide for their families. This has been a very sad few days and some of the most difficult in our entire careers. Anyone who has ever been to our restaurant knows that all of our employees and team members are a part of our family. Though we know it's for everyone's own health and safety, it breaks our hearts that we had to close Fire & Oak and thus put our family members out of work. We tried to do our part by offering delivery and take out services to continue to feed the community but it was a battle we could not win, not with the circumstances given. Some of our employees who are more behind-the-scenes but incredibly important and loved are going to be especially hard hit financially. So now we reach out to those who have the means to help. There are over 40 of us who are suddenly without income. Plenty with kids and other family who we support. We set up this GoFundMe to provide our employees with financial assistance during this difficult time. We ask that you find it in your heart to donate. Every little bit helps and we're absolutely grateful for all you decide to give.  We don't know yet how long this closure will last but 100% of these funds will be distributed among our staff.

We look forward to serving you again. To providing for you the experience you've grown accustomed to. Please help us get to that future.
