Ezra's Adoption
Doação protegida
Together as a village of family and friends, we hope to fundraise for Ashley's adoption of Ezra Yasin. Ashley was adopted as a child. And now, is a wonderful single foster mom to a beautiful and healthy little boy. Ezra has been in her care since he was born. She has independently nurtured and provided for him every day since.
She is currently facing the enormous costs associated with adoption, and we would like to support her.
Ashley spends her days balancing work life as a therapist and home life as a mom. And through the chaos of it all, still manages to greet Ezra and her clients with a smile. She is full of grace, work ethic, and love. And we hope you will help us fulfill her heart's greatest wish: to adopt the tiny love of her life. Please consider donating! Any amount is profoundly appreciated.
"Biological parents are given legal state appointed representation when their child enters the foster care system. Foster parents however do not have representation under the system. When a case goal changes to adoption, it is up to foster parents to secure legal representation to complete the adoption process at the time that parental rights are terminated. Ezra's case is a bit complex and requires legal presence for Ashley at an earlier stage, prior to official termination of parental rights. The court has deemed it not in Ezra's best interest to be reunified with family, but Ashley would like to find a way to preserve some contact with his first family, while also protecting his best interests. To do so, she has been asked to attempt a mediation where contact with Ezra's first family can be outlined clearly. Children in foster care lose so much when they enter the system, and
Ashley desperately wants to find a way to honor Ezra's family in this process, while doing what is recommended to ensure his safety and emotional well-being. She became a foster parent to give back and support biological families, while also protecting the children that come into her care"
