Ezequiels Fight With COVID -19

If you have ever met or knew Ezequiel, you would immediately fall for his incredibly kind soul. He was a hard-working individual and always put his family first. Ezequiel came to the United States when he was 18 years old to work hard for his family. During his time here, he continued tirelessly working and was planning his retirement with San Francisco’s Waste Management Company, Recology.
During this Pandemic, he continued to work every day to help our family and provide for us. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the new year, just when we were all ready to place 2020 and COVID-19 behind us, Ezequiel came home one evening feeling under the weather. A short time later, he and his wife, Angelica turned out positive for COVID-19. The day that Ezequiel was due to come out of quarantine, he informed an advice nurse that he was having troubling breathing and was rushed to the ER. After 4 days in the hospital, getting the wonderful and dedicated support of the ICU team at Kaiser San Leandro, Ezequiel passed away.
After his fight with COVID. Ezequiel left behind a grieving family of 7 kids, his wife, and many other family members and friends. During these hard times, we are asking for the support of our friends and family to help plan our father’s burial and to help push us forward into 2021 without his love and presence. Ezequiel will always be in our hearts and we will continue to live for him and share the love that he so effortlessly gave to everyone he met. Si alguna vez has conocido a Ezequiel, inmediatamente te enamorarás de su alma amable. Era una persona trabajadora y siempre puso a su familia en primer lugar. Ezequiel llegó a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía 18 años para trabajar duro por su familia. Al vivir en los Estados Unidos, tuvo muchos trabajos duros, algunos de los cuales fueron en la construcción y su último trabajo fue en Recology, Waste Management Company de San Francisco.
Durante esta pandemia, continuó trabajando todos los días para ayudar a nuestra familia y mantenernos. Desafortunadamente, al comienzo del nuevo año, justo cuando estábamos todos listos para dejar atrás 2020 y COVID. Ezequiel llegó a casa una noche sintiéndose mal. Poco tiempo después, él y su esposa, Angélica, dieron positivo por COVID-19. El día en que Ezequiel debía salir de la cuarentena, le informó a una enfermera que tenía problemas para respirar y fue trasladado a urgencias. Después de 4 días en el hospital, recibiendo el apoyo maravilloso y dedicado del equipo de UCI en Kaiser San Leandro, Ezequiel falleció.
