Hello my name is kerry and I am a single parent of two wonderful children. I am reaching out with humility to ask for your support in helping us secure a reliable vehicle. Right now I do currently have a car and I am truly grateful for that,as it helps me get my children to school and allows us to manage our day to day living and also life. However it continues to break down on a regular basis,and The cost of repairs has become extremely expensive. As a single parent,trying to keep up with these cost is very difficult especially with winter vast approaching. A reliable car is not a luxury for us,and we do not wish for anything fancy just a vehicle that will not break down often as it is essential for our safety and stability. We live in a rural area where public transport is limited and not that easy to access to bring my children to school. My children school is also in a rural location, and getting there without a car would be almost impossible. This is something that I have already looked into via bus routes,it would take three buses each way,meaning we would have to leave home at around 6.45am and we wouldn't return home until around 6pm to 6.30pm possibly,even though school finishes at 3.35pm. This is simply isn't realistic or fair for Young children, especially in the dark and cold winter mornings and months to come. For us having a reliable car is the only way to ensure that they can access their education safely and on time without any added pressure of travelling. I am also studying health and social care and well-being so that I can gain a better qualifications, improve life for my children and also myself and work towards a more secure future. A dependable car allows me to travel to my studies and keep progressing. Trying to balance school, parenting,and daily responsibilities without a reliable vehicle transport is incredibly challenging and extremely difficult. I have managed to save what I can towards the cost of a reliable vehicle, but doing it alone is not easy im sure some may agree is not easy. That is why I am asking for support you feel able to offer. No matter how big or how small, your donations will bring us a step closer toward achieving stability,peace of mind,safety for my children and myself. I strongly believe in giving and helping others who are also facing hardship. If I am blessed enough to reach my fundraising goal of £10,000, I will donate £1500 to the Sangstor family and also donate a further £1500 Redgard family both families are survivors of the horrific tragedy of Hurricane Mellisa. Sadly both families have lost their loved ones and also lost family homes that have been around for decades. These donations will help them to rebuild homes what was lost,providing equipment like genoraters, equipment to help buy housing materials and also other home essentials, like food, fresh water, toiletries, school supplies, and yes during this terrible tradegy education is still very much a essential and vital to what is needed to support their recovery and get back into civilization. If I am fortunate enough to exceed our goal,any extra support that is raised will go towards helping other families who have also been affected by Hurricane Mellisa.
