Erin Steven’s Cancer Fight
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Theresa. I am Erin’s little sister. With a heavy heart, our family is reaching out for support for my sister.
Erin was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer is in her uterus, ovaries, abdominal lining (peritineum), liver and colon. On Tuesday, November 28th, she will be starting very intense rounds of chemotherapy. She will have to be in Grand Rapids for her first day of treatment and then sent home with medication that will be administered through her port for the next two days, then back to Grand Rapids to return the pump. The chemotherapy cycle will be 3 days of medication and 11 days off to “recover” before the next round. There will be 24 rounds total. In the midst of her treatments, she will be having surgery/surgeries as well.
Everyone that knows Erin knows she’s a fighter and a hard worker. Up until this past Wednesday, she was still working and planning on continuing to work, even though she wasn’t feeling well. The doctor put a stop to that during her visit.
Rodney and Erin are very blessed that his job has been so understanding and good to him throughout the beginning of this journey, but Erin has always worked and provided for her family as well. She will be off of work for months to come, with a lot of traveling back and forth to Grand Rapids for appointments, new medical bills and we all know that normal, everyday bills don’t stop for anything.
So many people love Erin and have reached out to see how they can help. Prayers for her to have strength and faith through this fight is what she needs the most, but if you are able to help monetarily, any amount is appreciated.
We are all so overwhelmed with this news and appreciate all of your support from the bottom of our hearts!!
You got this, my fierce sister!! ❤️
