A South Australian Community Based Dog Training Charity

EpicDog is taking the next big step, creating EpicDog Collective, a not-for-profit charity dedicated to accessible, community-based dog training for everyone.

While many charities focus on rescuing dogs once problems have escalated, EpicDog Collective is being established to address issues earlier, by supporting people to train, understand, and manage their dogs before behavioural challenges arise. This preventative, education-led approach aims to keep more dogs safely in their homes and reduce the need for rescue intervention.

At the same time, EpicDog Collective recognises that some dogs still fall through the cracks. As part of the Collective’s work, EpicDog will also take on selected complex foster dogs, providing rehabilitation, training, and support pathways in collaboration with rescue partners. This ensures dogs requiring intensive, experienced handling are given the best possible chance at successful long-term outcomes.

Every year, thousands of dogs and families struggle due to preventable behavioural issues, limited education, or lack of access to affordable training. Too often, support is only available to those who can afford private lessons or live in areas with existing services. We believe every dog owner deserves access to practical, supportive training, regardless of income, location, or experience level.

What EpicDog Collective Will Do

EpicDog Collective delivers inclusive, community focused dog training designed to support dog owners at every stage. By using existing facilities, we’re able to keep costs low while creating meaningful, practical learning opportunities.

Our programs will include:

· Practical workshops focused on real-world challenges such as reactivity, recall, puppy foundations, confidence building, and everyday handling

· Community training days that bring people together to learn, practise, and support one another

· Accessible education aimed at preventing behavioural issues before they escalate

Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where learning is encouraged, questions are supported, and dogs and humans can succeed together.

EpicDog Collective is a community-driven collaboration of trusted, experienced dog trainers, veterinary industry professionals, and rescue organisations. Working together, the Collective delivers ethical, evidence-based education focused on animal welfare, prevention, and practical, real-world outcomes, building on the experience and standards established through EpicDog Training & Adventures.
