Jeffrey Holifield , my son, is 27 years old. He was born with glaucoma and only 20% vision. Today he has 5% vision and it's very blurry. In February of 2016 he was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation. (I will add info about that in another post). Jeffrey had decompression surgery at UMC in Jackson in March 2016. The surgery was successful but it has not helped with Jeffrey's pain. He is in constant stabbing pain all the time. No medicine has given him relief. We have done everything in Mississippi that we can do. In fact, he has gotten worse. After much research on Chiari I found that Mayo Clinic is the best place in the US to take him. They will see him there , but they don't take his insurance. We are required to pay a large amount up front before he can be seen and have teams of doctors study his case. I prayed about this and I feel this is the place for him. If you can help us it would be appreciated so much.
