Engler Family Adoption

Mark and I are helping his brother Kevin and wife Amy get the word out that They Are Adopting! We are absolutely thrilled and excited for them! 

Here is information on their journey:

We are growing our family through adoption and are grateful to have you on our side. It truly takes a village to go through the adoption process and to raise a child. We are currently in the final stages of our home study and will be available for birth families to choose us as parents of their child in late May. We are currently working with EVOLVE adoption agency out of Stillwater, MN and have chosen domestic infant adoption with Minnesota and western Wisconsin as our adoption states.

In November of 2015, we got married and were excited to grow our family. Early on we faced infertility and at that time worked with Reproductive Medical and Infertility Specialists (RMIA) to complete six rounds of fertility treatment. Each round was unsuccessful and due to the medication and shots, resulted in ovarian cysts for Amy. We had to wait until these passed or cleared on their own before starting another round, so these six rounds took years to complete.

After this we explored international adoption but that path wasn't a good fit for us. When we found EVOLVE out of Stillwater we knew it was a great match and an amazing organization that we were excited to work with. This adoption agency only works with up to 15 adopting families at a time and they walk us through each step legally, whereas with some agencies you do each step independently.

What many don't know is that adoptions can cost between $25,000-$70,000 and the average falls in the middle of about $45,000. These costs cover consultant fees, agency fees (both pre and post placement), attorney feeds, medical and/or living expenses for the birth mom (a choice by the adoptive family if they would like to adopt the child and take on the out of pocket fees for a birth mom without insurance), court appearances, hotel stays while we wait for baby and much more. The reality is that this is a substantial undertaking in order to bring home Baby Engler.
