Como algunos de ustedes ya saben, nuestra querida Nathaly Mizhquiri, una joven ecuatoriana de apenas 16 años radicada en Chicago, sufrió el pasado miércoles 10 de septiembre un desmayo en el colegio. Los médicos descubrieron que le había sucedido un aneurisma, lo que luego le provocó un derrame cerebral y, a raíz de ello, complicaciones cardíacas que la mantuvieron bajo cuidado intensivo mientras luchaba con todas sus fuerzas.

Lamentablemente, Nathaly no pudo ganar esta batalla y nos ha dejado, dejando un vacío inmenso en todos los que la queremos. Para quienes tuvieron la fortuna de conocerla, saben que era una joven tranquila, reservada, inteligente y muy trabajadora. A su corta edad ya tenía su empleo y disfrutaba de su vida al máximo como cualquier adolescente de 16 años debería hacerlo.

Hoy este dolor golpea con fuerza a su mamá Rosa Siguencia, su mayor heroína, madre y mejor amiga, a sus hermanitos y también a su querido gatito Romeo, a quien Nathaly adoraba profundamente.

As some of you may already know, our beloved Nathaly Mizhquiri, a 16-year-old Ecuadorian girl living in Chicago, collapsed at school on Wednesday, September 10. Doctors discovered that she had suffered an aneurysm, which led to a stroke and, as a result, cardiac complications that kept her in intensive care as she fought with all her strength.

Tragically, Nathaly was not able to win this battle and has passed, leaving an immense emptiness in the hearts of everyone who loved her. For those who had the privilege of knowing her, you know she was a quiet, reserved, intelligent, and hardworking young woman. At such a young age, she already held a job and was enjoying her life to the fullest, just as any 16-year-old should.

This loss weighs most heavily on her mother, Rosa Siguencia, her greatest hero, mother, and best friend, on her brothers, and on her beloved little cat Romeo, whom Nathaly adored deeply.
