Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing chemotherapy treatments for the next year. As a social worker at a hospital in NYC, I’m grateful that my employer has offered me the option to work from home on the days following my treatments. However, to make this possible, I need to purchase a computer and some essential office supplies.

With the right tools, I can continue working while I recover, minimizing the time I need to take off. Being able to keep working during my treatment is so important to me—not just because I’m passionate about my work, but also because it helps me maintain my healthcare insurance and stay connected to the profession I love.

I had my first treatment this week and am holding up, though I’m feeling weak and need lots of rest in the days following. Though the path ahead is uncertain, one thing is clear: your support would mean the world to me.
