Emily Tunstall is a Warrior and needs our help to support her life as she adjusts to her new reality as a result of her injury!

Thursday, Sept 12th, 2024 at 9pm Emily's life changed forever as she was shot in the femur while sheltering her neighbor. She suffered physical and mental trauma, and will now be relearning to walk.

Emily works at the Family Justice Center in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and has worked for many years to accomplish her dreams of being an advocate for those who need someone in their corner!

While working towards that dream, Emily has also been a leader and family member in the Murrells Inlet service Industry.

And in 2023 she was blessed to marry her best friend, Finn, and they bought a brand new house together.

Thursday, Sept 12th, 2024 at 9pm Emily's life changed forever as she was shot in the leg. She is suffering and overcoming physical and mental trauma.

Two individuals who Emily recognized as neighbors, were running for their lives. They needed to seek shelter as a domestic violence situation had turned into a gun threatening, heated exchange. The neighbors ran to Emily's house for safety and protection.

One of the individuals had already been shot as they entered Emily's house. She approached the door, began to call 911, and then heard multiple gunshots.

Emily then realized she had been hit with a bullet in the leg. Also through her door, kitchen, and home were bullet holes.

Emily works everyday with domestic violence victims.

This domestic violence situation was not the first time the shooter had been in trouble for the behavior.

Emily and Finn now have incurred excessive hospital bills, having to pay upfront for sterilization of their house from blood, repairs to their outside siding, drywall in the house, doors replaced, and appliances. That all resulted in damages from the bullets.

Emily is determined to not let this situation ruin her dream home, as a community please help us support them as Emily deals with her new reality and navigates the trauma that resulted from her involvement.
