It has been a very hard day today for our dear friend Deanna, her partner Jesse, friends and family. Their beloved dog Bowie was hit by a car on Norwest Bay road. Bowie is Deanna's best friend, and has been by her side through all the tough stuff over the last 6 years. Bowie is the fastest dog we know, and is amazing to watch run in the sand! (He is a Whippet and know for agility and speed) - He is a sun lover, a snuggler, a brave boat dog, and a loved by so many who are heartbroken tonight. Bowie is in emergency surgery with some uncertainly if he will make it, and requires a blood transfusion as well as care through the night to get him to a place we all hope that he can receive a lifesaving surgey in the next 24 hours. It is very uncomfortable to ask for help, and if you can spare anything we would all be so grateful. We can only hope to make this horrible situation a little less hard on D and Jess.. and make these choices a little more manageable.
