Emergency Surgeries and Bills for Monty & Family
Donazione protetta

Here is his story in detail: The past few weeks have been devastating to our family. My fun, loving dad has fallen critically ill. It started with severe stomach pains. They found a clot in his portal vein, leading to the disruption of blood flow to his small intestine and causing most of it to die off. He is now left with 160cm. This process required two different hospitals, Bothwell and Mizzou University, and 3 surgeries. His liver has stage 4 cirrhosis, so these surgeries have cause a lot of damaged. His liver began to fail a week later, and he was transferred to Barnes Jewish hospital in St. Louis. Here they discovered blood clots everywhere. He had surgery to clear and save his leg. This surgery was a big blow and caused multiple organ failure, putting him on partial life support. While he is making baby steps in the right direction, it will be a very long, hard, expensive recovery. No one plans or thinks about these sudden emergencies. We could use all of the help and support we can get. Even if you cannot donate, please share so maybe other people can. I am also in the process of starting a t-shirt fundraiser for those interested in making a small donation as well as raising awareness and recruiting help. We hate asking for help and don't want to, but we desperately need it. I will post more information at a later time. Thank you everyone.
