Emergency Support Needed After Total Loss House Fire

$8,640 raised of

On the night of January 8th, our friend and neighbor Sara lost her home in a devastating fire in Salmon Creek. The fire moved quickly, and by the time crews arrived, the house was beyond saving. Sara made it out safely, but she lost everything she owned, clothing, personal items, important documents, and all the things that make a home feel like home.
Sara is now starting from scratch, trying to replace basic essentials while figuring out her next steps for housing. Anyone who knows her knows how strong and independent she is, but this kind of loss is overwhelming for anyone to face alone. Our community has always shown up for each other in hard times, and I’m hoping we can do the same for her now.
This fundraiser will help cover immediate needs like clothing, food, temporary lodging, and transportation, as well as the larger costs of rebuilding her life, deposits for a new place, furniture, household items, and the many unexpected expenses that come after a total loss.
Sara also asked that a portion of the funds be donated to the Salmon Creek Volunteer Fire Department in gratitude for their response that night. She wants to honor their service to our community.
Any amount helps, and every share makes a difference. Thank you for supporting Sara as she begins the long process of rebuilding after this heartbreaking loss.
