Hi, my name is Carleen Kelly, and I am fundraising for the family of Debbie and Dariush Ashrafi. The picture is the scene of a horrific accident that Debbie, her mother, Shirley and oldest daughter Shana, were involved in on Sunday morning, April 24. Debbie traveled with Shirley and Shana in an SUV to Bunnell, Florida. They were involved in a head-on crash caused by a sedan driver crossing the dashed yellow line and colliding with them. Sadly, Debbie suffered fatal injuries. Her daughter and mother are in critical condition in intensive care with a long road ahead of them in recovering from their broken bones and surgery. Dariush and their daughter Marni are together in Florida, planning Debbie's arrangements and supporting the needs of Shirley, Shana and extended family members during this horrific time. No one can believe that Debbie is no longer with her family and that their plans for their future together have come to an end. We are all heartbroken for them.

This fundraiser is needed for the unexpected expenses associated with traveling back and forth to Florida in the near term and extended time during the recovery of Shirley and Shana, additional help required at Hidden Brook Farm, funeral arrangements, and a donation to the ASPCA in Debbie's name.
