My name is Hiam. I am a mother of three children, and I write to you today with a heart full of desperation and hope. My family and I are currently living under the unimaginable conditions caused by the ongoing war in Gaza. I humbly appeal for your support in helping us find safety and a chance to rebuild our lives with dignity.

Before the war escalated, my husband worked as a licensed physical therapist, running a small clinic that provided our sole source of income. Tragically, his clinic was destroyed during the bombings, leaving us without any means to sustain our family. Since then, we have faced relentless displacement, moving from one unsafe location to another.

Eventually, we fled to the southern region of Gaza, where we lived in a worn and fragile tent for over a year and a half. Life there was incredibly difficult — we had no security, no privacy, and struggled daily to find enough food and clean water. After an airstrike partially destroyed our home, we used whatever materials we could find — plastic sheets and nylon — to rebuild. Just as we began to experience a small sense of stability, we were forced to flee again.

We are now living in a tiny room that was once intended to serve as my husband’s clinic. Today, it has become a crowded shelter, which we now share with another displaced family. The conditions are unbearable: overcrowding, lack of sanitation, no privacy, and a complete absence of basic necessities. With the ongoing siege, skyrocketing prices, and severe shortages of food, medicine, and clean water, every day is a painful struggle for survival.

My children suffer from malnutrition and general weakness due to the lack of proper nutrition. We are mentally and physically exhausted. With no source of income, no safety, and no future under the current circumstances, we have lost all ability to endure this suffering.

I am reaching out to you with deep sincerity to request your help. We are desperately seeking humanitarian assistance and a safe way to leave Gaza. We long to rebuild our lives in a place free from fear and violence — to raise our children in safety, with hope and dignity.
