Ellie's remembrance bench at Alexandra Palace

Alexandra Palace (Ally Pally) was a really special place for Ellie.

Living just down the road in Muswell Hill for so many years, it was a local green space for walks, picnics and enjoying the view of London. It's where she would head on a Sunday morning with a hangover to check out the Farmer's Market, and it's where her business was launched and took off.

Ellie's ashes are in Dorset and in the south of France. So this fundraiser is to pay for a bench in Ally Pally for 15 years so that there is a space in London to sit, think of Ellie, enjoy the view - and for other people to see her name.

When I applied for the bench, I didn't know how much it would be but in total it is £1890. I wanted to open it up to close friends of Ellie's in case anyone can contribute - and it will be a gift from us to the Spicer family. No pressure at all as I know times are tough!
