Ellie’s Climb to the ISS for Cancer Charities
Donation protected
Hey! I’m Ellie.
Starting 23rd October 2024, I will be taking on a challenge that has never yet in history been completed. For the next 365 days or less, I will attempt to climb the equivalent distance on a StairMaster from Earth to the International Space Station.
That’s over 1.3 million vertical feet, or 400km. Upon completion, I will have climbed over 130,000 flights of stairs. For reference, that’s like climbing to the top of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, 810 times, or climbing the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, over 45 times.
This challenge represents the monumental effort it takes for cancer patients and their families to fight the world’s second most deadliest disease, one step at a time.
I’m doing this to raise funds and awareness for 3 different charities that are close to my heart that supports life-saving cancer research and provides crucial care for patients and their families. Cancer affects millions of people worldwide, and I want to use this challenge to make a real difference in the fight against it.
Your support will not only help me stay motivated to complete this insane journey but will also contribute directly to advancing cancer research and patient care. Whether it’s £5, £50, or simply sharing this campaign, every little bit helps. Together, we can reach new heights and take a step forward in the battle against cancer.
All funds raised will be divided between the 3 charities and a monthly donation will be made on the 1st of each month to each charity.
