Hi, my name is Ali and I’m raising funds for my sons heart transplant. Elijah is 7 years old and born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). He has underdone 3 open heart surgeries to date and multiple Cardiac Caths. Elijah is now in heart failure. He is listed on a Status 1B for a Heart Transplant at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Although insurance will cover most expenses we will need help with lots of travel, lodging and home accommodations or anything else that might arise or not covered by our insurance. After transplant Elijah is expected to be home around 6 months and we will need to travel to Kansas City weekly if not more for follow up care and caths.
