Electric Wheelchair for Camille

Meet Camille:

This beautiful young lady just started her first year of  high school but is in great need of some adaptive equipment such as electric wheelchair/scooter. She is able to get around with her walker but only short distances and not in a timely manner. With hopes of raising enough money, we wish to provide her with some equipment to get around school a bit easier and also allow her to experience extra curricular activities with friends with as little hassle as possible. 

Her Back Story:

At eight years old this healthy and very active child was stricken with a condition leaving her without the use of her legs. Over a period of 2 years, what started as a mild limp in her walk digressed to the point she had to use a wheelchair. During this time she was taken to numerous doctors across the country including the Mayo Clinic all of which no doctor could reach a diagnosis after running every possible test known to the medical profession. Four years into this nightmare  it was theorized that the cause of her condition resulted from a rare, unique viral infection that settled in her lower spine causing irreversible damage to the nerves that control leg movement.  After years of therapy she has gained enough strength to walk with the assistance of leg braces and a walker that allows her to shuffle around. She is 14 years old now and doctors have concluded that this will be the best condition she will ever reach.

Any donations will go towards better equipment that insurance doesn't cover in hopes that she can still live a life full of love and joy! She has been such a strong young lady to have to deal with what she's gone through.
