Eileen Carlson was diagnosed in June 2019 at age 64 with Stage 4 cancer in her colon and liver. At the time, she did not have insurance to help pay for chemotherapy treatment, which is why this fundraiser was created. Funds raised in 2019 supported oral chemo for Eileen, who thankfully took to treatment well and made it to being insured by Medicare in January 2020 when she turned 65. She is undergoing IV chemo in addition to oral chemo, and assistance is still needed for these medical costs.
