The Edinburgh to Erbil Challenge
A group of reservists from E Squadron (Lothians & Border Yeomanry), Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry have decided to embark on a challenge to raise awareness for War Paws.
War Paws is a UK based charity that works to protect animals in war zones. It’s easy to forget in these difficult times that there are still conflicts ongoing in the world and animals suffering because them.
It’s important that the reservist stay fit and they’ve set themselves the challenge of covering the distance between their home base in Edinburgh and the War Paws Shelter in Erbil (Iraq) a distance of 3410 miles. They will use their daily exercise period to run, tab, cycle and walk the dog to cover the distance.
