This smiley gal is Diane Olson. Diane is a wife, mother, and grandmother, to name a few titles to her personal job description. Diane also works full-time, mostly over-time, at Bishop Fixtures. On August 25th, 2018, Diane’s son suffered multiple medical aliments landing him in the ICU in California. This unfortunate medical nightmare has required Diane to make numerous trips to California with even more trips expected in the future. Not only does Diane have a son in a hospital across the country, Diane’s husband, John, is also battling terminal prostate cancer and will be making journeys to Texas for treatment. Despite her husband’s treatments and travel being paid for through a medical study, Diane is scrambling to make travel arrangements back and forth from California to support her son with his various medical complications, meanwhile accompanying her husband to his many appointments for his cancer treatments. She has had to endure the financial overload of missed work and unexpected travel and lodging expenses. Her genuine smile and laughter hide the duress of her extenuating circumstances.
To alleviate some of the financial stress, I decided that I would give the GoFundMe page a whirl. My mother rarely asks for help with anything. (She still hasn’t asked for any.) She is so strong and resilient! Any donation would be truly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Shannon (her daughter)
