Who this will help

My name is Lisa, I am Ds wife and mom of our two girls Angel and Rose.D has been really sick this year because of his NASH liver disease. He has been in the hospital 6 times this year. The doctors tells him he needs a new liver. We are trying to raise money to pay for medical and travel expense in order for us to travel to Nashville to begin testing and evaluation process for D to be put on the liver donor list and then pay for the stay in Nashville after the liver transplant as I will have to take time off of work to help take care of him while preparing for the donor list and after transplant.

Why I'm fundraising

The funds that are raised will help us with travel and the stay in Nashville while he does testing at Vanderbilt hospital and ultimately when he has the liver transplant. The funds will also help with living expense while I have to take time off work before and after the liver transplant. Without the funds I believe we will be unable to make the travel and stay for this life saving procedure he needs to survive to be with his family.

The impact of your support

The funds will be used for dental work that needs to be done before the testing and evaluation process to begin. There will be 4 days of evaluation and testing to be done. Where D has to travel to Nashville and stay overnight. So funds will be used for gas, food and lodging for this required trip. Then once D receive a liver we will have to stay in Nashville for 7 to 10 days. Then we have to remain in Nashville close to the hospital for 4 weeks resulting in me taking time off work for his care and we will be away from our girls for that period of time as well.
