Hi, I’m Jim, a single father fighting to secure my 28-year-old daughter Felicia’s future. Felicia has severe nonverbal autism and requires 24/7 care, but in one month, Michigan’s school-based services end, leaving us with no safety net.
After 400+ hours of research, we’ve been approved for Massachusetts’ autism programs—the only state offering lifelong housing, crisis care, and community supports tailored to her needs. But our SSI income can’t cover the $15,000 needed to relocate.
We’re raising funds for:
Moving costs (rental truck, deposits)
First/last month’s rent for autism-friendly housing
Emergency medical fund for co-pays and adaptive equipment
This isn’t just a move—it’s Felicia’s lifeline to dignity and safety. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps prevent institutionalization and gives her a chance to thrive. If you’ve ever believed in a parent’s right to protect their child’s future, please share or donate.
With gratitude,
Jim & Felicia
