Hurricane Melissa ravaged Jamaica as the first direct hit from a Category 5 storm in at least a century. Homes have been damaged and destroyed, markets are short on food, and public utilities are struggling to restore service. As SmartBooks has an office in Jamaica, we know a lot of people and families in need. As a small business of around 20 people including our Jamaica team, we can only do so much ourselves and are asking for others to contribute via this GoFundMe. 100% of contributions will go to individuals in need and nonprofit relief organizations such as World Food Kitchen that are working on the ground on the island and have low overhead ratios.
