Hello,

My name is Makayla and I am aspiring to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My dreams are to positively influence and provide tools to achieve positive systemic change across various families and couples. I am due to graduate from Capella University in May 2027. To achieve my goals I will need to travel to Anaheim, California for my Residency Track 1 course. I've included a video that shows the day in the life of a resident student at a convention held in Chicago.

This residency is a required milestone in my journey toward licensure, and it offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and collaboration with fellow emerging therapists. However, the travel costs — including airfare, lodging, meals, and transportation — present a financial challenge I cannot meet alone.

I’m reaching out for support to help cover these expenses so I can fully participate in this opportunity without financial strain.
