Hello my name is Julia, and this

is a fund raiser for my cat, Kairi’s perineal urethrostomy surgery. What this surgery will do is re-route my baby’s urethra due to a recurring urinal blockage. He had his first urinal blockage in 2022 and has been a beacon of health since…up until one week ago.

Kairi is my 8 year old black bombay cat with a white tip of the tail. He is a very social and intuitive cat, almost like a little man walking around the house who tells me what to do all day and makes me give him cuddles. He is a big brother to his sibling Honey Boy. They have been bonded since Honey was 6 weeks old.

Kairi is a very social baby and follows everyone into any room of the house.

If I’m in the kitchen, he’s in the kitchen. Bedroom? Bathroom? He’s there.

He is typically in high spirits so I noticed when he didn’t greet me at the door when I came home from work and found him under my desk where he never goes.

I immediately recognized the signs and took him to MedVet where they were able to flush the blockage but strongly urged me to schedule his surgery and keep an eye on him to make sure he is continuing to pee.

He has been peeing but still has blood in his urine and high acidity.

The total cost for his P.U. surgery is $5,000. This includes them performing the surgery and monitoring him overnight to make sure he is happy and healthy to come home.

This type of illness is unfortunately popular in male cats. Any donation will help my baby to thrive for years to come. We would greatly appreciate your help.
