Joai's Journey for Rejuvenation and Love

Hello, I’m Joai <3

For most of my twenties, I’ve been deeply committed to community mental health and caregiving—roles that I’m incredibly passionate about. For nearly two years, I’ve been working in street outreach, helping those who are unhoused by connecting them with vital resources and providing supplies to support their survival. While I love this work, the emotional toll has been heavy, and after almost two years without any time off, I’m feeling the effects of burnout.

Recently, I celebrated my 30th birthday, and as I reflect on everything I’ve accomplished, I realize I need to take time for myself to recharge. I’m planning a trip to visit my love in Medellín, Colombia, and being able to spend time together would mean the world to me.

While I have PTO available for time off, I need some assistance with covering the costs of the plane ticket and travel expenses.
