Hello, my name is Hope, I am a chef, health and wellness coach, and nutrition educator with over 17 years of experience. I founded NEW HABIT Kitchen in Bali during the pandemic, providing healthy, customized meals to support the community’s dietary needs. I am working on a new mission: Transitioning NEW HABIT Kitchen into NEW HOPE Kitchen.

Bali has been my home for the past six years. My journey here began with community volunteer work, where I served as a Native English teacher and volunteered with charitable food organizations that provide nourishing meals to underprivileged youth. Witnessing the positive impact of these programs inspired me to create something sustainable to change the ongoing health issues in Bali due to poor food choices and lack of nutrition education.

Through my time living here, I’ve developed strong relationships with the Balinese community and recognized a big need for youth-focused nutrition education. Without this essential knowledge, health issues in Bali’s youth continue to grow, and I’m dedicated to changing that.

Alongside this journey, I’ve also been blessed with two sweet rescue dogs from Bali who have added so much joy to my life. I am grateful every day for the chance to give them a safe and loving home.

My Mission: Community Wellness and Accessibility

NEW HOPE Kitchen is more than just a Warung—it’s a community cooperative with a vision of bringing affordable, nutritious meals to locals and offering a space where Balinese youth and community members can learn about nutrition and healthy cooking. My mission is to provide affordable healthy food options, facilitate nutrition workshops and healthy cooking classes for local youth, and help empower a new generation with the essential knowledge and skills to prepare nourishing meals and understand the importance of eating for health.

To make this vision a reality, I need your support to cover legal administration, secure a location, and build a team to begin offering community-focused cooking classes and affordable meals with partnering kitchens. Statement of Intention:

My intention is to begin by partnering with established kitchens and organizations interested in offering cooking classes focused on eating for health. These classes will help us build a foundation, share essential skills with the community, and generate awareness about the importance of nutrition.
