Hi friends,
My name is Wren and I've been working alongside Mary for a few years and right now she needs our help.
I first started following Mary when my life was *bad* and her content gave me joy when I needed it most. I know other people have had the same experience. 2025 has been rough for our lovely gal (relatable as ever) and to get back on her feet and thriving she needs a little financial help.
I'm SO proud of all of the work that she is doing on herself and the strong foundation she is building but it's hard to start over in this economy.
Mary has always been cautious in asking for help (for the rescue and especially for herself) because she never wants people to give in a way that makes things harder for them so asking now is brave and really shows how important this is.
The future and the plans that Mary has are incredible and I cannot wait to see them unfold. Anything you can give to help would be so very appreciated.
Message below from our lovely Mary:

Hi guys,

The last year of my life has been one of the most challenging ones thus far as a *33 yr old lady.* Behind the scenes my marriage was falling apart and it was slowly killing me. It wasn't clear to me then, but it's becoming clearer to me now that, no matter how I try to sugar-coat it, i was married to a narcissist and they were eroding me, myself and i. It felt like a darkness was taking over everything that once brought me joy and slowly it came to the rescue and all that the rescue entails. I've had my lowest lows this year and it really...sucked.

After multiple attempts at leaving, I finally was able to get out in early August and have been trying to survive since then. Although I am safe and in my own space, my mental health is taking it's toll on me and i've recently started (what I call) therapy boot camp and took a 3 week medical leave from school as I recover. As i've been on my own, a few more unexpected expenses have popped up and I have been cut off from all our shared finances. I have no access to any of our joint funds...so i am asking for help. I do not need much. just enough for therapy boot camp, put a little down-payment on a newsed car and bring my balance at the vet's office (for my girls) to zero.

I hate asking for help, but I am learning that in order to rescue the cats and create a fun, and joyous community, sometimes I also have to ask for help. Thank you all forever. I don't think i'd ever be free if I never said "good mornings" online. You all gave me the confidence and spark to start my leaving journey. And now...it's only up from here.
