Donate to Help Bailie (Rhoades) Smeak

Hello, my name is Brooke (Rhoades) Makuchan. I am starting this GoFundMe for my younger sister, Bailie (Rhoades) Smeak. Bailie has sadly been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in January of 2023. Bailie is employed as a surgical technologist at Conemaugh Hospital, and this past fall, she decided to continue her education by starting nursing school. This is all currently on hold due to her recent diagnosis of cancer. She and her husband Gearmo are down to one income, yet they are facing new expenses every day, such as medical bills. Bailie has undergone many tests thus far, and chemotherapy treatments will begin very soon. I am creating this GoFundMe to help offset some of the medical expenses they are currently facing and will continue to face in the months ahead. Bailie is such a kind, strong, and determined young woman. Despite her current setback, she intends to pursue her nursing career once her treatments are complete. Even during this difficult time, her primary goal is to get better so she can continue her schooling to become a nurse and help others. We appreciate any and all contributions made to Bailie during her time of need. However, we understand that times are tough, so simply sharing this post would mean so much to us. Any help is greatly appreciated.
