Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,

We are reaching out today with heavy hearts to ask for your support for a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and community member, Mindy. Recently, Mindy was diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer that has metastasized. As you can imagine, this news has been devastating to Mindy, her family, and all those who know her. Despite the challenges ahead, Mindy is determined to fight this disease with every ounce of strength she has.

Mindy has spent the last 25 years as a loving wife to Tim and a dedicated mother to six wonderful children. She is also the proud grandmother of eleven precious grandchildren. For over two decades, Mindy has served hundreds of people in Southwest Missouri through her work as a family therapist at her private practice, Applied Psychological Services. Her compassion, wisdom, and tireless dedication have helped so many people heal and grow, and she has truly made a difference in the lives of her clients.

Mindy’s faith has always been a central part of her life. She is a devout Christian and an active member of James River Church in Joplin, where she has touched many lives with her kindness and prayerful spirit. As she begins this difficult journey, Mindy is surrounded by the love and prayers of her church family, friends, and her own close-knit family. She is resolved to fight this cancer with everything she has.

As a self-employed therapist, Mindy’s diagnosis means that she will be taking a significant financial hit. While undergoing treatment, she will be unable to work, which has already placed a tremendous strain on her family. Mindy is currently in Kansas City for treatment, and she and Tim will likely need to travel for further treatments in the coming months. The financial burden of medical expenses, travel, lodging, and everyday living costs is overwhelming, and this is where we need your help.
