My name is Alice. I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income. In December 2024, I found out I have triple-negative breast cancer, and both breasts have to be removed. Since that diagnosis, I was hospitalized because I passed out in my home. I was told having the cancer is a blessing in disguise. I had an appointment for chemotherapy the day after passing out. Upon reaching the facility, my pressure was dropping at a fast rate; this is when I was admitted. Tests were given and results found. I have a heart murmur, and my heart is functioning on three-quarters because the upper right part has been burned out. I suffer from hypertension, which can't be stabilized because of sodium pills taken to melt a kidney stone in my left kidney. I will be on chemotherapy for a year or more, needing assistance financially. I want to live, but at this point in my life, I can't afford it.
