Donate for Deborah's Handicap-Accessible Van

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out with a humble request to help our family in a time of need. My mother, Deborah Torrey, is one of the strongest, most loving and caring people I know. But now, due to her mobility challenges, she needs support more than ever.

My mother is no longer able to walk or get around on her own and is bound to using a wheelchair with assistance at all times. Despite her indomitable spirit, getting around has become increasingly difficult for her, and in turn for my stepfather and my sister. Everyday activities that many of us take for granted, like going to the grocery store, attending medical appointments, or simply visiting friends and family, have become nearly impossible.

To improve her quality of life, we need to purchase a handicap-accessible van. This van would allow her to make it to doctor appointments comfortably and safely, giving her the freedom and safety she deserves and taking many worries away while also allowing my stepfather to safely get her from point A to B with ease.

The cost of a used, reliable, handicap-accessible van is significant, and unfortunately, it’s beyond what our family can afford on our own without assistance. This is where we hope you can come in. We are aiming to raise $8,000 to cover the cost of the used van and necessary modifications.
