Make Hurricane Katrina Book a Film

Doação protegida
"Diary From the Dome, Reflections on Fear and Privilege During Katrina" is a memoir of a San Diego tourist stuck in the dank Superdome during America's most costly and tragic storm.  Actor John Lithgow describes the book as stirring.  It cries out to be made into a movie using both local talent in New Orleans as well as offering any donors of $50. or more the opportunity to personally experience what it was like in this living hell by being an extra or actor in the film as well as acknowledgement in the credits. The truth and lessons about Katrina and the numbing power of fear and "groupthink" combine in a powerful story that Americans need to see and learn from.  Funds raised will be used to produce as authentic of a film as possible; one that envisions the moviegoer being in a seat in the Superdome, leaving the viewer wondering how he or she might have behaved under similar circumstances.  http://diaryfromthedome.net. The more that is raised the better the production value but we will make use of much local talent with a passion for telling this story in as cost-saving of a manner as possible.  If you want to get on board this project with your own film production talents to share contact us at [e-mail editado].  10% of all film profits will be given to charitable organizations such as Habitat For Humanity and Levees.org.
