Hello, my name is April and I am Denise Salazar's cousin. Denise meant so much to so many, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. To me, Denise was also a saint and had a servant's heart.
She and her husband Frank had five children between them, and when her niece was in a crisis pregnancy, she generously helped by becoming a foster parent to the baby. Then over the next few years, Frank and Denise opened their hearts and home to three additional children from the extended family.
On Friday, January 29, 2021 Denise unexpectedly passed away. The paramedics believe it may have been a stroke or heart attack and it is still unknown as I write this.
Denise's moto was...
"My heart and hope is to bring awareness and support to children in foster care and all families involved."
We are asking that you help us continue her legacy by helping support her husband Frank and the younger six children. This will help with unexpected costs of the burial and other expenses like education and healthcare. The youngest children are 4 and 6 and attend private school. Denise had recently started working full-time while Frank has been unemployed for the past several months due to a shoulder injury.
As Denise has shared...
"We can't all do the same thing, but we can all do something." Please consider helping the family in whatever way you can and consider sharing this with others.
Denise's post on social media January 20, 2021...
"Today after my 2nd day of a 10 hour shift I feel just this intense gratitude for God’s grace and His sustaining power in my life. I drove home pondering all that God has done in my life and how He has worked ALL things together for good. I’m so thankful for His love, the gift of His Son, my salvation, and knowing that all that is good and right in me is ALL due to Christ in me! To God be the glory forever and ever!"
