“We are deeply saddened by the news that our friend Debbie Hunt Thaxton lost her husband, Larry, yesterday to Lewy Body Dementia, a debilitating condition that rendered him permanently disabled. Debbie, in turn, left her job to serve as Larry’s full-time caregiver. She was dedicated to carrying out this commitment, although it forced an unanticipated early retirement.

A private cremation will be held, with no funeral service. Even so, the anticipated costs pose a significant barrier for Debbie given the huge medical bills that have also been accrued during Larry’s debilitating illness.
