Deana Derby

Deana Derby passed away on August 24th after years of fighting liver disease caused by bile duct cancer. Prior to and throughout her illness, Deana was selflessly active in the community, especially in rec sports and coaching. She was inspirational to many young athletes and over many years, season and hours, she taught them how to play sports, as well as how to blossom into strong, confident, and supportive people. She had a true partnership with her husband of 28 years, Joe Derby, and of her many accomplishments, she considered her greatest to be her two daughters, Temesha and Kapria.

The Derby's are currently planning Deana's funeral and celebration of life and facing the future without their wife/mother. At the same time, they are dealing with the costs that come with years of medical expenses, time away from work and end of life realities.
