Support for Darren Yazzie. Pitcher. Average Joe's.

Hi, I'm Jeremy, and on behalf of our entire Softball team "Average Joe's", we are making an effort to support our fellow teammate and pitcher, Darren Yazzie.

 

While pitching in the late innings of a game during the Spring softball season tournament week at Cactus Yards in Gilbert, AZ, Darren was struck in the face by a batted ball, resulting in serious injury. Paramedics were called, and soon after he was stretchered off the field, being taken to the hospital.

 

Darren is just beginning his recovery from the life-altering injuries he has sustained. It's important to our team that we make an effort to support him, his wife, and children as best we can. Darren truly loves softball and has been playing in multiple leagues around the valley, including city leagues, and the Full Gospel Church Softball League. Our hopes are that anyone in the softball community might be willing to lend a hand.

 

As softball players, we play a kid's game, for fun and a break from what can be an otherwise stressful life. It's a tragedy to see this happen as a result. Our aim is to help relieve some of the distress, in the slightest way.

 

All funds raised go directly to Darren and his family, to support them with what they are personally navigating as a result of this terrible incident.
