Danika’s Fight Continues – Help Give Her Every Chance ❤️

This is Danika’s second GoFundMe fundraiser, and we want to be completely open about that from the beginning. Unfortunately, her cancer journey is continuing, and we are once again asking her family, friends, community and everyone who knows and loves her to help give her every chance to keep fighting.

On 20 November 2025, at just 33 years of age, Danika was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer, which had already spread to other vital organs. She had originally gone for scans for suspected gallstones, never expecting to receive news that would completely change her life.

Since then, Danika has endured eight months of aggressive chemotherapy, surgery, procedures and countless challenges. Despite everything, she has continued to face each day with incredible strength, positivity and determination.

Danika is also a single mum, raising her little boy while going through treatment. Alongside the physical and emotional challenges of cancer, she continues to manage the everyday costs of raising her son and living her life, while also facing the significant financial costs that come with a long-term cancer journey.

For a while, we had reason to feel hopeful. Danika was responding well to treatment and we were seeing some really positive progress.

Unfortunately, things have recently taken a difficult turn.

Danika underwent further major surgery, which meant she had to temporarily stop chemotherapy while her body recovered. During this time, one of her tumours unfortunately grew aggressively and significantly in a very short period.

After everything she has already been through, this news has been incredibly difficult. But Danika is not giving up, and neither are we.

Alongside her conventional cancer treatment, Danika has also been working with an integrative naturopath in Melbourne as part of her supportive care. We want to help her continue accessing appropriate supportive care alongside her chemotherapy and explore other suitable options as they become available.

How your support will help

Funds raised will help Danika with ongoing cancer treatment and treatment-related expenses, including chemotherapy, supportive care, medical appointments, travel to Melbourne and other appropriate treatment options that may become available.

The funds will also help ease some of the everyday financial pressure that comes with being a single mum while living through such a serious and ongoing illness.

Danika has always been someone who helps others and rarely asks for anything in return. Right now, she needs help carrying some of the weight.

We understand that not everyone is in a position to donate, and that’s completely okay. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser can be just as valuable and may help it reach someone who can.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported Danika through her first fundraiser. We know asking for help again is a big thing, and we wouldn’t be doing it unless we genuinely felt she needed that support.
